Ari Jónsson

▶︎ Ari Jónsson is the CEO of Videntifier, a leading company in visual recognition technology. The company’s solutions are used by brands, online platforms, broadcasters, government agencies and others, to automatically track, moderate, protect and filter visual content. 

Ari completed a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University and subsequently spent 10 years developing AI capabilities for NASA.  He then joined Reykjavik University in Iceland, where he served as the president for 12 years. Throughout his career, he has played many roles in public policy development, community building, investment, and consulting, with particular focus on innovation using cutting-edge technology.  Today, in addition to his role at Videntifier, he serves on the board of the NATO Innovation Fund, a deep-tech VC fund.
