Cheers Ulf! Introduce us to Soft landing Northern Sweden, what’s your business and mission?
Our mission is to present the business opportunities within the green transformation in North Sweden and pave the wave for strategic partnerships between our companies, municipalities, innovation arenas and test beds and companies in USA, preferably startups and SMEs.
North Sweden stands as one of the most exhilarating growth regions globally, with an unwavering commitment to sustainability, energy transition, and innovative breakthroughs. Currently hosting one of the largest industrial investments in modern history, totaling a staggering $1 trillion, north Sweden is positioned at the epicenter of Europe's green transformation.
The enormous transformation we are facing creates incredible opportunities and great challenges, both in business and in society. We will have a great need for new entrepreneurs and talents to help meet the challenges and find good sustainable solutions. At our pre event to Bifrost, 4:th of Mars at Nordic Innovation House, we will introduce this business opportunities and also invite to a business trip to north of Sweden in the mid of May, which also includes an introduction to our soft landing offer for companies from USA that establish business in North of Sweden.

Why did you decide to partner with Bifrost?
As the Bifrost ´24 theme is "Innovations for a sustainable future", we see a very good opportunity to make contact with forward-looking companies and people in the USA who share our belief that it is possible to change towards a more sustainable future and who are happy to seeking partnerships for implementation. We hope it will be the beginning for long term collaboration.
Bifrost ’24 theme is “Innovations for a sustainable future”, and naturally, innovations and know-how are crucial to reach a better tomorrow. How are you planning to address the “Innovations for a sustainable future”-theme at Bifrost?
We are planning to address the green transformation going on in Northern Sweden and highlight our conference Demo North Summit and in addition to that our specific USA delegation offer, where there is a great opportunity to meet the regional actors that drives this transformation as well as our innovation arenas and test beds. The green transformation covers our more traditional business as forestry and the forest industry, mining and metals, but also new ones as batteries, innovation-critical metals and materials, e-fuels and bio-fuels, electrification, hydrogen, etc. A large part of the transformation is based on our regions fossil-free energy production.
What are you looking forward to the most at Bifrost?
We are looking forward to meet and connect to companies, preferably startups and SMEs but not only, innovation arenas and test beds, investors, entrepreneurs and talents.
